Tony Breen
Tony Breen

Head of Insurance Relations, Asia Pacific and Middle East, Sydney

 

Tony Breen is Head of Consultant Relations, Asia Pacific, Head of Insurance Relations, Asia Pacific and Middle East and Institutional Business Development Manager, Australia. Tony has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry in the UK and Australia, covering roles in liability management, fixed income dealing and portfolio management, client relations and business development. Tony joined Deutsche Asset Management in 2001 as an Institutional Business Manager following roles at County Investment Management, Prudential Portfolio Managers Australia and Schroders. Since joining in 2001, his role has expanded to incorporate senior roles in managing consultants and clients across the region.

 

Tony holds a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University and is a registered Acutary with the Institute of Actuaries Australia.

Jeremy Don
Jeremy Don

Chief Operating Officer,  RREEF Infrastructure, Sydney   

Jeremy Don is the Chief Operating Officer of Deutsche Asset Management Australia and RREEF Infrastructure in Asia Pacific. Jeremy has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Since joining Deutsche Asset Management in 2000, Jeremy has held a number of positions in finance and business management and was appointed COO for the Australian business in 2007. Prior to joining Deutsche, Jeremy was a Manager in the business assurance services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for servicing clients in life insurance, funds management and superannuation.

 

Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance from the University of New South Wales and is a Chartered Accountant.

Daniel Ekins
Daniel Ekins

Head of Asia Pacific Real Estate Securities, RREEF Securities, Sydney

Daniel Ekins is a Managing Director and Global Portfolio Manager with oversight over all Asia Pacific sectors of the real estate securities market. In addition, he is the Chair of RREEF’s Global Property Allocation Committee. Daniel has over 25 years experience in the analysis and management of property investments. Prior to joining the Australian investment management team in March 1997, he spent three years at Hazama Corporation responsible for managing a direct property portfolio. He also worked in commercial real estate consultancy for eight years including valuation, and leasing roles at Jones Lang LaSalle and Knight Frank.

Nadir Maruf
Nadir Maruf

Head of Asia Pacific Infrastructure, RREEF, Sydney

Nadir Maruf is a Managing Director and Head of RREEF Infrastructure Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the Asia Pacific team, Nadir was a Director in RREEF Infrastructure Europe where he was responsible for identifying and analysing infrastructure investment opportunities and assisting in the implementation and management of transactions. Prior to joining RREEF Infrastructure, Nadir had more than a decade of infrastructure investment and advisory  experience. He was previously a Transaction Director in Carillion plc’s Project Finance / Equity team (responsible for an execution team). On behalf of Carillion, Nadir sat on the Boards of several SPVs of accommodation, roads and light rail projects.

Stephen O'Brien
Stephen O'Brien

Chief Executive Officer, Deutsche Asset Management (Australia), Sydney

Stephen O'Brien is the Head of Deutsche Asset Management in Australia overseeing client sales and service across the various investment strategies and client segments Deutsche Asset Management covers. Stephen is also Head of DB Advisors, the institutional asset management arm of Deutsche Bank in Australia. Prior to joining Deutsche Asset Management in 2008, Stephen was the Head of the Institutional Business for Tyndall Investments. Winner of the 2007 Rainmaker Marketing Excellence Award for Business Development, Stephen has two decades of financial services experience including senior positions at Schroders, MLC and SBC (now UBS) in Australia. Stephen has served on the ‘Investment Board’ of the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA), as well as assisted in the coordination of numerous industry conferences, assisting in the education of industry participants.

Chris Siniakov
Chris Siniakov

Head of Fixed Income Asia Pacific (ex Japan), Deutsche Asset Management, Melbourne

Chris Siniakov has 16 years of industry experience having joined Deutsche Asset Management in July 2008 after 14 years at Invesco, where he was most recently Head of Fixed Income. Chris has broad experience from managing indexed portfolios with sophisticated optimisation techniques to generating alpha for Core and Core Plus managed funds. He has managed large, relatively illiquid inflation linked portfolios and synthetic world government bond accounts using futures and swaps from around the globe. Chris is also a member of Deutsche’s Global Process Management Group. Prior to working at Invesco Chris was a Statistical Consultant with the Monash University Statistical Consulting Centre.

Paul Spence
Paul Spence

Global Head of Portfolio Engineering and Analytics, Sydney

 

Paul Spence is the Global Head of Portfolio Engineering and Analytics and Head of the research team for the Market Research Strategy.  Paul has more than 20 years of investment management experience focusing on research and analytics. Paul joined Deutsche Asset Management in 1997 from Barra International and prior to that, Prudential Portfolio Managers. Paul’s roles at Deutsche have covered all aspects of based quantitative research, portfolio risk attribution and analysis, portfolio engineering, and the design of investment process monitoring and measurement systems. Paul’s extensive experience in portfolio and analysis and measurement was a precursor to the current investment process and management for the Market Research Strategy funds which currently manage more than ten global funds covering active management, high yield and value investment styles.

 

Paul holds a Bachelor Degreee in Applied Science in Mathematics from the University of Technology in Sydney with majors in Theoretical Statistics and Physical Applied Mathematics.
